2 Sites to Check Out

While improving traffic lights is my new favorite way to help the environment, number two on my list would be a carbon or gasoline tax. I just found two sites that push forward these causes. makes a compelling case for a $37 a ton of carbon tax. This works out to $.10 a gallon of gasoline or $.0075 a kWh of electricity (US average) and would reduce CO2 output by 2%. is a club founded by Greg Mankiw, former chairman of Bush’s Council of Economic Advisors, of people who believe the the best way to reduce oil consumption and carbon emissions is to tax them.
