Household Spending on Food and Fuel


Surprising to me that Japan isn't in the green, although having traveled there maybe I shouldn't be.

I guess the Japanese use public transport more - easier in a low-crime country. And they obviously don't eat as much as westerners.

Wait, wouldn't those be reasons why Japanese would spend less money on food and fuel? Or maybe you are suggesting public transportation and eating less are the results of high food and fuel prices.
