As compared to how New Yorkers see it.

Rebelfish,

So true.

Remarkably accurate, though I might break out the ski-lands of Colorado

Pretty much accurate. Of course California sports fans are also aware that New England is the home of many fine sports teams. Here's an entry I put in my blog earlier tonight: Most American Nuts are from California

Heh, so basically the whitest parts of the country are the best (truth be told, this is probably more of a Marin County Californian's view, not the perception of someone from San Diego--if we cut off the southern portion of California, the good parts really are the white parts). Well, I didn't think I'd see it so blatantly admitted by image-conscious lefties, but as someone living in the putative land of religious nutballs, I don't disagree.

AE,

Actually, I don't see the White angle on this. I was living in Silicon Valley for a while, which is not particularly white, but I still think it is totally awesome. And when I think of Fake Cowboys, Religious Nutballs, Obnoxious New Yorkers and Old People, they are all white people in my mind.
